Kivu to the West, shrouded in mist by the Nyungwe forest to the South and engulfed by the swathe of land that is Tanzania to the East. These features and their ecosystems along with its hospitable people make Rwanda one of Africa's most idyllic tourist destinations in Africa.

Your itinerary
Your itinerary will start and end in Kigali making a round trip around Rwanda. An airport pick up and drop off may be arranged.
Day 1: Kigali City tour Your guide will pick you from your accommodations after an early breakfast for a Kigali city tour. You will go sightseeing in the city or visit the genocide memorial to have a glimpse in Kigali's collective psych. After a full day of seeing what Kigali has to offer, you will stay overnight with a chance to experience Kigali’s illustrious nightlife.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe
After a good night's rest, your guide will pick you up mid morning for a transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park in South Western Rwanda. Upon arrival in Nyungwe forest National Park, you'll have lunch and proceed to settle in. There will be a chance to relax at your hotel/lodge or partake in activities such as a canopy walk, hiking, birdwatching and many more.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the briefing point by your guide to be readied for chimpanzee tracking. In the activity that lasts 3 to 6 hours, you will also be able to see several other primate species such as the Rwenzori colobus, the Red-tailed monkey, the Angola colobus monkey and many more. After the chimpanzee tracking, you can relax at your lodge or you may go for an optional community or canopy walk at a cost.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Your guide will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park in the morning after your breakfast. Volcanoes National Park is Rwanda's prime gorilla trekking destination. Upon arrival, you will settle in and have lunch after which you may relax and enjoy your hotel amenities.

Day 5: Gorilla tracking
Gorilla tracking can be a rigorous activity so once you've had a filling breakfast early in the morning to prepare your body for the tracking, your guide shall bring you to the briefing point to begin your gorilla trekking adventure. The activity can last 1 to 8 hours walking in the rainforest entertained by distant animal calls and birds chirping in the lush green canopy. On finding the magnificent gentle giants, you will stay with them for up to an hour observing their behavior in their natural habitat as the rangers share their knowledge about man's cousins.

Day 6: Transfer to Akagera National Park
In the morning after your breakfast at the lodge, your guide will pick you to head to Akagera National Park in the Eastern part of the country. Upon arrival, you will check in to your lodge, settle in and have lunch. Later in the day, you may indulge in an optional (at a cost) community walk to immerse yourself in local farming cultures and marvel at the Ankole cattle of ages. You may also go for a nature walk at cost, to learn more about native plants, hear about the history of the area and the local way of life.

Day 7: Akagera activities
In the early morning, your guide will pick you for a morning game drive where the Big 5; lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and rhinos may be expected. There is also a chance to see zebras, sitatunga, giraffes, topi and much more. After the game drive, you'll have lunch before taking an afternoon boat ride to see aquatic wildlife and birding. In the night, you will go on a night game drive to sight a range of nocturnal mammals and birds.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali & Departure
Early in the morning, your guide will pick you from your hotel to visit Imigongo arts and crafts center to partake in local culinary, cultural dances, farm visit to participate in local beer-brewing and see the Ankole-Watusi longhorn cattle before having lunch and transferring to Kigali.
